Joseph C. Flynn, M.D.
Joseph C. Flynn, M.D. received
his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College,
Philadelphia in 1951. He interned at Orange Memorial
Hospital, Orlando, Florida. He completed his orthopedic
residency at Jefferson Medical College Hospital.
Dr. Flynn
trained at the Pennsylvania State Hospital for Crippled
Children where he developed a lifelong love for children's
orthopedics and scoliosis.
He had been in practice in Orlando since 1958. Dr. Flynn's
interest in scoliosis and spinal deformities led him to
spearhead the successful campaign for the establishment of a
statewide scoliosis screening program in Florida schools.
He continued his lifelong dedication to clinical research
and teaching. He had published numerous articles on a
variety of orthopedic subjects concerning both children
and adults.
Dr. Flynn passed away in June 2010. He is missed dearly but is honored and
remembered as our Founder.

Joseph C. Flynn, Jr., M.D.
Joseph
C. Flynn, Jr., M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board
of Orthopedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine
Surgery. He attended Georgia Southern College where he
received a B.S. in Biology. His education continued at the
master's degree level at both Georgia Southern College and
the University of Florida College of Medicine.
He served an
internship in General Surgery at Shands Hospital in
Gainesville, Florida. His residency in Orthopedic Surgery
was completed at the Medical University of South Carolina in
Charleston in 1992. This was followed by a one year
fellowship in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at the Arkansas Spine
Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
His areas of research have included spinal deformity and
spinal instrumentation with presentation of his work at
national meetings. Primary interests include pediatric and
adult spinal deformities, as well as degenerative and
traumatic disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine.
Dr. Flynn, Jr. currently serves as the Department Chairman of Orthopedics at
Orlando Health (formerly known as Orlando Regional Hospital). He is also on
Faculty at UCF School of Medicine. Dr. Flynn has won the Top Doctors Award
in
2008 and Consumer's Research Council of America has awarded him America's Top
Orthopedist Award in 2008.

Geoffrey Stewart, M.D.
Geoffrey
Stewart, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of
Orthopedic Surgery and the American Board of Spine Surgery.
Dr. Stewart received his medical degree from Jefferson
Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his Orthopedic
training in Boston at Tufts University Affiliated Hospitals
and the Massachusetts General Hospital. He then completed
the Maryland Fellowship in Reconstructive Spinal Surgery
with Dr. Paul McAfee in Baltimore, Maryland, incorporating
both orthopedic and neurosurgical spine training.
Dr. Stewart specializes in the treatment of adult and
pediatric spinal disorders. His particular interest is in
newer, minimally-invasive surgical procedures and he has
participated as a faculty member in courses to teach these
techniques to other spine surgeons. He has authored a number
of articles on spine surgery, and his research has won
awards at major scientific meetings.
Dr. Stewart serves on the Faculty of UCF School of Medicine. He has won the
Top
Doctors Award in 2008 and 2010. He has also won the Patient's Choice Award in
2008. Consumer's Research Council of America has awarded him America's Top
Orthopedist Award in 2008 and 2010. Dr. Stewart was awarded the Healthgrades
Orthopedic Care Excellence Award in 2007 making him the Only Five-Star rated
provider in the Orlando area for Spine surgery in 2007. The
International Association of Orthopedic Surgeons recognises Dr. Stewart as
A Leading Physician of the World and a Top Orthopedic and Spinal Surgeon
in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Stewart received the Castle Connolly
Top Doctor Award for Orthopaedic Spine Surgery in 2011.

Javier A. Placer, M.D.
Javier
A. Placer, M.D. is Board a Certified by the American
Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and American Board of Pain Medicine. He
completed his Spine and Pain Management fellowship at the University of
Florida Department of Orthopedics and
Rehabilitation.
Dr.
Placer's area of specialized medical care
includes:Physical Medicine, Pain Management,
Rehabilitation, Pain relief treatment via injection,
Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Sports Medicine.
Dr. Placer serves on the Faculty of UCF School of Medicine. He has
won the Patient's Choice Award in 2008 and 2009. He has also won the Patient's
choice award of Most Compassionate Doctor in 2008 and 2010. Consumer's Research Council
of America has awarded him America's Top Physician Award in 2009 and 2010.

Bobbilee McDonald, PA-C
Bobbilee McDonald, PA-C. graduated from the Medical College of
Georgia in Augusta magna cum laude with a Bachelor
of Science in Physician Assistant in 2004. She also
earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from August State
University in 2002.
Bobbilee is fully licensed as Physician Assistant by the State of
Florida and is Certified by the National Commission
on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Vinh-Loc Nguyen, PA-C
Vinh-Loc
Nguyen, PA-C, graduated from The George
Washington University in Washington, DC with a Master of
Science in Health Sciences Physician Assistant Studies. The
George Washington University Physician Assistant Program has
consistently been nationally ranked in the top three by US
News and World Report. He also earned his Bachelor of
Science in Microbiology and Bachelor of Arts in Economics
from the University of Florida. While attending The George
Washington University, he served as Vice-President of his
class and volunteered at DC free immunization clinics.
Vinh-Loc Nguyen is fully
licensed as a Physician Assistant by the State of Florida
and is certified by the National Commission on Certification
of Physician Assistants. He is a member of AAPA and FAPA.
